Subject: Today makes 6 months
I don't want to talk about it.
Well, this week has been a great week! It's weird to hear your
letters and know there is snow all around you because we have nothing of that
going on here!
Well, we passed the day of kings here well. They eat Roscon. It’s
basically a whip cream sandwich. It has got to be the least healthy thing I
have ever eaten, and still I never turn it down. Roscon is known for having a
bean and a king. If you get the king, you get the crown, if you get the bean,
you have to pay for the Roscon. Of all the Roscon's I've eaten here, I've
gotten the "surprise" twice. AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN A KING. I was very
upset. Hna Quispe got the rey. I'm glad you all passed the day of kings with Boo.
It should really be the day of Queen Boo. Obviously it's on Jan 6 for her
birthday.
Miracle:
We contacted a girl from Dominican Republic who grew up and is
living in Germany, but was in Spain because her boyfriend lives here and she
was visiting for the holidays, but was going to return afterwards. We didn't
have her phone number, just her direction. She told us (Estefany) we could
visit her on Monday, the day before she would leave for Germany. We were
excited for her and a little sad that she would have to leave for Germany. We
went to her house... and nobody answered. That's it. That was her one BIG
chance to be introduced to the gospel and have her life change. And she wasn't
there. About an hour and a half later, we were waiting in Pradillo for another
contact to show up for a lesson, and who do we see walking down the street a
little bit away? Estefany with her son Tyler!!! We waited 3 minutes then went
and knocked on her door again. She answered, let us in, we gave the
Restoration, she was very attentive and sweet the entire time, and she
committed to read the BOM and learn more about it. We received her reference to
send to Germany and the missionaries will be able to find and teach her there!
Had we not been there waiting, and our next lesson about to fail us, we
wouldn't have been able to find her and teach her. I really think she will be
able to understand and accept the Gospel and it will change her life! God works
in mysterious ways.
There are other things I was going to write, but now I've got to go,
so you guys will have to be satisfied with some pictures..
pasen una buena semana
I decided not to write the letter in Spanish this week! But you
should all be working on Spanish so we can communicate when I come home!
THANKS FOR THE STOCKINGS MOM!! IT WAS PERFECT!
Hasta Lunes!!
