Skibby sent us the following email on Monday, October 30, 2017.  In her first paragraph, she said, "We were in Madrid and flew back...".  We're not sure why she went to Madrid (because she didn't say!), but we think it may have something to do with her recent call to serve as a Sister Training Leader in the mission.  Her mission president sent us an email informing us of this call, and he said that Skibby would be serving as part of the Mission Leadership Council which meets monthly with him and his wife, the AP, and the zone leaders.  So, we are guessing that Skibby had to go back to Madrid to attend this meeting.  But maybe we're totally wrong.  Anyway, she's back in the Canary Islands now!

Subject:  Week 2 in and out of the neighborhood

This has been a long week that flew by. I'm not really sure what to say. We were in Madrid and flew back, so some time was lost for that.

This was the best thing that happened:

We had English class, which is always really fun, and we'd wanted to share the gospel with one of the guys in class, but we hadn't figured out a good way to slide into the conversation, so we decided just to teach everyone after English class. It went a little long, and then we asked if they'd like to stay and listen to a message about what we believed. They all stayed!(3 people) so we taught the restoration and 2 of the 3 took a Book of Mormon and said they would read. It was a big miracle for us. We felt the spirit and got to testify.

The rest of the week we were visiting members and running down mountains and traveling and sometimes getting failed. 

I'm grateful to be with the companions I have. They are great examples and we get along really well. We're trying to find random acts of service we can do every day.
